Personal Highlights from the
National Cartoonists Society 59th Annual Reuben Weekend
Fairmont Princess Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona
May 27 - 29, 2005

Rubbing elbows with
the legendary Roger Armstrong
and his charming wife, Alice.
I used the old "hey, have your picture taken with me"
ploy to snatch some food from their plates.

This was taken moments after Roger and Alice realized that
I did, indeed, grab some of their food.
Never trust a fat man in a tux...

Just moments after this photograph was taken,
Tom Richmond burst into tears when he realized
we were wearing the same outfit.
He's the sensitive type.

Ed Steckley smiled for the camera then
asked me to fetch him another beer.
He tipped me in Canadian currency.

Past meets Present!
Former Orange County NCS Chapter Chair,
the reclusive and never imitated, Mark O'Hare,
and newly re-elected OC Chapter Chair, Charles Filius.
"If I agree to pose for this picture," O'Hare said,
"Do you promise to stop following me?"

"But, Charles!" Kelley says, "It's a dry heat!"
"So is my oven," Charles replies, "and you don't see me
sticking my head in there, do ya?

Have you suffered enough? No? Then check out photo galleries of past Reuben Weekends!
