Rambling Observations of the
2006 NCS Reuben Award Weekend
May 26 - 30, 2006

In the middle of
Millennium Park, in the
heart of Chicago,
there sets
a giant, chrome... |

...bean.
Sure, they SAY it's a sculpture called "Cloud
Gate" on the AT&T Plaza of
Millennium Park but just
look at the damn thing! It's a giant bean!
|

OK, I admit it. I found this
giant chrome bean to be just too cool. If the accordion playin'
frog girl would marry me I think we'd honeymoon here. I bet you're no
longer questioning why I'm still single...
|

Inside the
bean. It's a wet dream come true for any obsessive
/ compulsive
with a bottle of Windex and all the free time in the world on their very
clean hands.
|

Looking up into the center of the bean.
It's what I like to call "the Bean Rotunda". Kelley counted her own
reflection sixteen times. Thank God I have better things to do with MY
time...
|

...such as taking a picture of Kelley
counting her reflection sixteen times!
|

Kelley & I pose for a self-portrait
reflected off of the surface of the giant
Chicago Bean. Sadly, our reflections are not distorted. We
really do look like this.
|
 Be
honest... does this bean make Chicago look fat? |
