A Cartoonist at Chichen-itza!

The Temple served as the Mayan Calendar.
There are 91 steps on each of the four sides totaling 364.
At the top there is one more step down into the temple which brings the total to 365.
Gazing upon these steps carved with such amazing precision
so many thousands of years before I walked upon them, I could only think one thing:
"Damn, I wish I had a slinky."

After making the trek to the top I was treated to this breathtaking panoramic view...

The ruins of Chichen-itza alone
covers 17.5 square miles.
And I couldn't spot a single Starbuck's!
That alone made this place truly a paradise...

The most wondrous thing was
what I found inside the temple.
